GARY PRICE

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Gary Price is an accomplished Operations Executive with 25+ years of leadership experience in multi-site operations, trucking services, and the travel center industry. He brings deep industry and operational expertise from operational and C-suite leadership roles at notable companies such as Love’s Travel Stops, Pilot Flying J, Corner Bakery Café, and the US Army.

At Love’s, Gary served as Exec Vice President of Total Truck Solutions and Facilities. He led all aspects of the truck maintenance and repair operations (1,250 properties). Gary drove significant expansion of the Truck Care division and helped position Love’s as a market leader in comprehensive fleet services.

Recently, Gary served as Chief Operating Officer of Alpha Aesthetics Partners, focusing on seamless integration of new partners and growth with existing partners. He continues to serve as both a GSP Operating Partner (auto and service sectors) and Board Member (Flagstop Car Wash, Goodturn Automotive, and WOW Carwash).

Gary graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science and Cornell University with a Masters in Retail. He holds a MBA from Fayetteville State.

Jordan Gerrard

VP of FINANCE

Jordan Gerrard is a highly accomplished Finance Executive with two decades of progressive leadership in accounting and finance. He has a proven track record of driving financial strategy, regulatory compliance, acquisition integration, technological enhancements and operational excellence across both publicly traded corporations and private equity-backed enterprises.

Prior to joining True North, Jordan oversaw the on and off-shore accounting teams of Maersk’s US Ground Freight as Maersk US Financial Controller - Transportation. This position stemmed from Jordan’s successful execution of the sale and integration of Pilot Freight Services, which he directed as the Corporate Controller. In his 4 year tenure at Pilot, he supported the acquisition and integration of more than twenty targets and doubled the company’s revenue and adjusted EBITDA.

He also held Controllership roles at Noramco Inc and Stonhard (RPM Intl) and a Corporate Financial Reporting Manager role (RPM Performance Coatings Group). Jordan began his career in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Industrial Products audit group.

Jordan graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. He holds a MBA from Temple’s Fox School of Business.

Rick jacobs

VP of BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Rick Jacobs is a seasoned Business Development Executive. He has over 30 years of experience growing and transforming businesses with 6 successful growth and transformative P&L assignments for diversified industrial businesses in global markets, including Chief Procurement Officer for a Fortune 200 company.

Prior to joining True North, Rick co-founded GXE Industries, a management consulting firm focusing on transportation, manufacturing, industrial, service and high-tech companies.

Rick also served as President at Dura-Line and held various leadership roles at Eaton (including Chief Procurement Officer, President of EMEA, and President of Filtration Worldwide Group), Bendix CVS/Honeywell, and General Electric.

Rick graduated from Clarkson University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and a Master of Science in Industrial Management. He completed Harvard University’s Business Marketing Strategy Program and Columbia University’s General Management Program.

Kevin Schumm

VP of M&A INTEGRATIONS

Kevin Schumm is a M&A Integration and Operations Executive with 20 years’ professional experience supporting >$25B of transactions. His roles have spanned Finance, Operations, and IT in market-leading consumer services, multisite and recurring revenue businesses including ADT Security, Terminix Pest Control and Davita Kidney. These organizations were publicly held and private equity environments rooted in M&A growth.

Prior to True North, he was Terminix’s Vice President of IT Merger Integration, focused on EBITDA growth through technology simplification. Kevin achieves results using commonly accepted M&A playbook tools such as a people-process-technology framework, process walks and technology roadmaps.

For the first decade of his career, he was a project leader at Deloitte specializing in commercial, financial diligence and integration planning on buy-and-sell-side M&A.

Kevin graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accountancy. He holds a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Dave Phelan

Director of Corporate Development

Dave Phelan is a Partnership / M&A Executive with nearly a decade of mergers & acquisition experience. Dave has a proven track record of partnering with owner-operated businesses to seamlessly execute high caliber, mutually beneficial acquisitions from deal inception to closing. Dave has experience within a variety of industries including transportation & logistics, consumer services, and aviation, having closed 60+ deals in his career.

Prior to joining True North, Dave served as the Senior Manager of Corporate Development at Sila Services, a home-services focused portfolio company of Morgan Stanley Capital Partner & Goldman Sachs Alternatives, where he supported the execution of acquisitions ranging in enterprise value from $5 to $50 million.

To begin his career, Dave spent time working within the Financial Due Diligence practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers as well as time within the Audit & Assurance practice at Deloitte.

Dave graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Pennsylvania.

Joseph Bongiovi

Michael Baker International

Joseph Bongiovi is a business leader, educator, lecturer and retired chief human resources officer focused on giving back and developing the next generation of leaders through facilitating the learning of others, board and committee work.

He is a Lecturer in the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business & Economics Department of Management. Previous academic experience included eight years as a Teaching & Research Fellow in the Department of Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also has a Masters in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Bachelors of Arts with majors in Government & International Studies and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame, where he also had a concentration in Latin American Studies, graduated With Honors and won The Helen Kellogg Institute for Latin American Studies First Prize.

In addition to his academic experience, Joe had a 30 plus year career in human resources management, most recently as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Sazerac for five years.  This was his second time as a Chief Human Resources Officer, his first one being with Michael Baker International.  Prior to his CHRO roles, Joe had a progressive human resources career at large publicly traded companies, including Danaher, Marsh & McLennan, Cardinal Health, Citibank, PepsiCo and General Electric, where he was on their Human Resources Management Program.  Between his undergraduate and first graduate studies, Joe was an Airborne qualified Infantry Officer in the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Captain.

Dan Lawler has decades of experience across a range of industries including hospitality, education, private equity and philanthropy.  By employing a unique blend of strategic and financial wisdom, he helps business grow and advance.

Dan’s career trajectory showcases a consistent record of success and leadership in executive management. He served as the Chief Financial Officer at Front Burner Restaurants, which included the Twin Peaks, Velvet Taco and Sixty Vines brands among several others, where he was instrumental in driving financial strategy and operational excellence. His keen understanding of the consumer market, financial forecasting and analysis, and effective management of the company’s capital structure helped Front Burner brands and their stake holders achieve financial success through profitability, growth and ultimate monetization.

Prior to his time in restaurants, Dan spent many years in early education where he helped establish, expand, lead and ultimately sell the Children’s Choice Learning Centers brand to Bright Horizons, the leading provider of employer on-site early childcare and education.  As CFO and head of development at Children’s Choice, Dan was responsible for the financial planning and strategic initiatives that fueled the organization’s growth, enhanced its market presence and profitability, and in attaining the financial support of employer partners, private investors and banks. Post sale, he served as the Vice President of Development at Bright Horizons. Earlier in his career Dan was the Vice President of Finance at MGM Grand, one of the largest and top hospitality brands in the world. At MGM, Dan showcased his ability to manage large scale financial operations effectively. Dan is a proud graduate of Providence College where he serves on the Board of Advisors.

Kathleen McLean

Kathleen McLean is a consultant, board member and senior advisor providing guidance on leadership, technology and operational strategy, organizational design, digital innovation and transformation, cybersecurity, technology investments, and mergers and acquisitions.

She is a recognized leader in the use of technology to accelerate growth and improve operational performance, particularly for field and in-home based service industries.  She has served as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Customer Officer for ADT Inc.; Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Information Officer at FairPoint Communications, Inc.; and in senior vice president positions at Verizon Communications, Inc. in technology, sales, and service.  A past governance fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors, she has served on numerous boards for public and private companies and non-profits.

With deep expertise in strategy, acquisitions, business planning, and operations management, Daniel combines financial acumen with hands-on operational leadership to help companies achieve both efficiency and sustainable profitability. His experience spans sectors including home services, healthcare, financial technology, and more.

Daniel currently serves as Managing Director at TMV Enterprises in Phoenix, AZ, where he advises and supports high-growth companies. Previously, as President of A1 Garage Door Service, he led the company’s strategic direction, operational improvement initiatives, and a significant private equity investment transaction in 2022. In addition, Daniel serves on the boards of several PE-backed companies across multiple industries, providing strategic guidance and governance.
